Why are we trying new things?
Most people have voted with their feet and don't go to regular church. In many cases church attendance is falling. This is the not case though when you look at the big picture. Globally the church of Jesus Christ is growing exponentially. Some Churches here in the UK are really growing fast. Some House Churches and small groups are growing and planting new churches (In a road near you!)
That's why we do
Church for people who don't like Church.
And have a great time doing it.
If you would like to see what Church in essence was to be like and how it seemed to be set up in the Bible times by Jesus example and Paul's example an teaching, and the other guys with him, come along to one of our meetings at the Neil Dougherty Centre. We won't get it right, but we do try to focus on the 'Life' that Jesus promised us and so desperately wanted us to have, and stay away from the religious which seems to be such a snare in these days and was to Jesus in his day's on the earth.
