Why a Men’s Conference?
If we’re really
honest with ourselves most men today are struggling to understand their various
roles. So many demands are placed on us:
The need to provide for our family;
Ensuring that we succeed in our
chosen profession and career;
To act as a role model for our
children;
The development of relationships
with family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and
especially with our wives.
The
list is seemingly endless and then there’s church and our relationship with God
and, yes, how we witness to the world when we really feel that we’d just like
to cope with a few things at a time and not take on so many burdens.
Why call it “Destiny”?
Because
we’re all searching for life’s meaning and how we fit into the scheme of life;
to be successful in what we’re involved in and to contribute wherever we can.
So
if you feel there’s just too much happening and you need to take some time out
for reflection
and renewal,
this Day Conference is just for you. Of
course there will be teaching but our main goal is to share together –
something most of us men are not that good at doing – and we will have time for
building relationships and talking together about the issues in our lives, but
we also want the day to be relaxing and life-giving.

Introducing our Speakers
If
you’ve seen Dale Plante in action you will not need
to be reminded of his passion to equip and encourage God's people and to see
the Kingdom extended as local churches impact their communities. Based in Toronto
with his wife Rose and their 3 children, he has been extensively involved in
church planting throughout Canada
and now has a growing international ministry in the USA
and Britain helping church leaders in a practical consultancy role. Dale is also
increasingly using his entrepreneurial skills to advance various business
projects. Dale works across all denominations to help mobilise the Body of
Christ to fulfil its God-given calling to share the love of God and lift up the
Name of Jesus. He is an excellent communicator with a dynamic preaching style,
moving freely in the prophetic gifts.
At this Conference Dale will be sharing on “Living a life of
Destiny and Purpose.”
Nick Pettingale heads up a group of leaders in Burton-on-Trent
who are a few steps ahead of us on the same journey towards the transformation
of their community. He has a passion to see God's Kingdom extended into our
communities and has challenged the Lifting Jesus Higher leadership team to draw Christians together in prayer to seek God’s
heart and His keys to seeing the area touched by His love.
Nick
is a strategic thinker – he’s involved with the Pioneer Church Network at
national level and has had a long-term involvement with church leaders and
congregations in Ethiopia. Nick is also involved in the
business world - consulting with boards of directors and other community
leaders – and will be sharing at this Conference on “Marketplace Christianity - making a Kingdom
difference in our world.”
“Life – it’s nothing like they said it was
going to be
in the brochure.”
