Welcome

If
you live in Chorley Shropshire, or the surrounding area, and would
like to become part of a group of friends helping and supporting
one another as we meet real and practical needs, and explore our
beliefs, let us know?
We
meet on a regular basis in a home, in the area, it's a time to refresh,
enjoy, have fun, build one another up, learn, share, ask and answer,
as we seek the way ahead in Chorley.
We
are making a fresh start. Zech 4:10.

Life Group!

Hi, Welcome to the Chorley Chapel
website. We hope all our visitors will find the site a blessing.
Church is not a building. It’s not even an institution;
church is a living body of believing individuals. But that living
body likes and needs to meet together regularly, and in the
mid 1800s Chorley Chapel was built for that purpose. We are
going through a time of review and reformation at the moment,
as we move forward into a new and empowered ministry to reach
out into this community with the very character and love of
Jesus to the fore. The Chapel is part of the Village and as
such is there for the villagers to use at any available time.
Everyone is welcome to our regular meetings when they resume,
whether from the Village or beyond, Christian or just looking.
And if we who do meet there regularly can be of any help to
the rest of the Chorley community, please just ask.
God bless you.
Alan and
Sue Vincent
Regular
Meetings
There are no regular
meeting at the Chapel at the moment. The leadership have decided
that following 5 years of teaching and ministry, the real fruitfulness
of the Christian life will be more productive through small
groups, (Friendship groups, fellowship groups, Cells, house
groups, house church, these are all names for this type of church.
Just like in the New Testament.) The Kingdom of God is not a
Kingdom of WORDS, but a Kingdom or Power. Large Church Services
and conferences can be great for teaching and worship but do
not always comfortably enable the healing and restoring power
of God to be ministered. A house group is an opportunity to
build friendships, to be real, tell it like it is, to help one
another, to show our love and care for each other, to pray together,
to Worship Jesus, to hear each others testimony of God's work
in our lives over the last days, to read the WORD, to seek deeper
revelation of God and his Word to us, to explain and expand
Gods Word, to teach, to 'disciple one another,' and a time to
respond, to pray, to take action, to receive ministry to explore
what God is doing in us, in our area, in the name of Jesus.
To see His Glory Fall!
Plus
tea and cakes (Wow!) and a lot of fun, joy and peace, breaking
bread and drinking wine.
We will
be investigating building these groups up over the coming months.

A whole body joined together...
If you would
like to be part of what is goes in Chorley, do contact Alan and
Sue.
We have seen
signs and wonders in our work in the village, new people coming
into The Family of God, adults baptised, evidence of real peace
where there was once turmoil, life changing power encounters with
the Holy Spirit, forgiveness where there was blame, division and
bitterness, healing of pasts hurts and wounds, bodies and minds,
reconciliation in families and between neighbours, and personal
growth in so many new lives, wounded hearts healed and made whole.
If you would
like to be part of this revival work in this community, if you have
any gifting that is seeking an avenue of fulfillment, or can play
an instrument and would like to help form a worship group, or could
host a home group, all ages welcome, please get in touch with Alan
or Sue.
