Giant Parsnip in Chorley area:-

How Big?

The Bridgnorth Journal featured and article in the last quarter of 2009 about a giant parsnip that was almost 3 feet long, 19" round the top, weight over 6lbs!

When we cut it up and ate it, it was tender and good!

It looked quite normal before it was dug up, but once the fork went it the gardener realise it was well rooted. It was just on in a row of perfectly ordinary parsnip. One it became to come up, wow! What a whopper. It was not treated any differently!

When I heard this story and saw the photo's I was amazed and immediately remembers the Transformations video showing the revival that took place in Guatemala, when a village in dia straights, started to pray, come into unity, and seek God. He not only came and healed the hearts of the people, brought prosperity and happiness to the region, but he also healed the land.

The agriculture in the area stopped using chemicals, and reverted to more traditional ways of farming and the land began to yield up the most amazing crops. The village which exported about 4 lorry loads of veg a month became an agricultural dynamo (Dynamis, the Power of God by His Spirit) they they now send out over 40 lorry loads of fruit and veg a month.

Agricultural experts from the USA visited the area to see what was going on. The villages responds. God came! He healed our tired and poisoned land. Just look at what we harvest. Almost the whole town has converted to Christ, the jail has been closed the Police man has nothing to do crime is non existent.

Could it happen here Lord? The answer is I believe, Yes! .......

If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. 2 Chr 7:14.

Would you note, the "If my people" is referring to God's chosen people, Israel, ad belief that includes, the Israel of the today. The believers, the Church, those who call on the name of the Lord. If they will humble themselves and pray,,,,,,, Are we too proud to admit we are not living our Spiritual Life as we should be. We may need to get down of our Spiritual High Horses, and face our unbelieving neighbour, and unsaved friends, in gentle humility, ask their forgiveness for  our pious and superior ways, and show them that we love love them and long that they should know that God loves them even more. If you are up for it. e-mail me and encourage me. Alan.Vincent@The-Church.net
