Welcome to Boot Camp @ Chorley Shropshire 2010

Dates activities and subjects to be investigated at each of the Bi-Monthly weekends.

What follows is an outline only and to provide you as a leader with an understanding of the event(s), and the commitment we will be asking of the men who register. It is provided for your information, to help and advise individuals and group leaders, and to enable advice and encouragement in the knowledge of what will take place at each of the events.

Venue for all meetings is The Chapel at High Green Chorley Post Code WV16 6PP (Postcode is only near, and not accurate.) Map Ref OS GridRef:- SO701832.

Each Weekend activity will start at 10:00AM Saturday morning, there will be lunch served at the Chapel, and the day will conclude at 7PM for a hot meal at the Duck Inn Chorley. The Weekend will resume at 10AM Sunday with lunch at the Chapel about 1pm, and conclude our time together at about 5pm.

Most weeks there will be a choice of how to spend the mid afternoon between about 3pm and 6pm. This time can be spend fishing (bring your own gear), walking in the beautiful countryside around Chorley, or a chanlenge in the form of an adventure activity. See monthly plan for anticipated activities (subject to change or cancellation without notice at the organise's absolute discretion). Leaflets etc. are provided for your information.

The cost of each weekend will be £50. This includes lunch at the Ducks, and the fee for the adventure activity. There is no refund if individuals chose to walk, watch a movie, or just chill. There may be a few things that will need you to just hang out with God following the sessions, and be work through, so don’t be under pressure as to what to do. It is important however to recognise that God may want you to face what is planned and confront any fears and phobia’s in order to bring freedom and recover ground from the enemy. He uses fear to rob and to steel. If this is the case, it won't be a 'kicking and screaming session' before God, He’s is not like that, He comes with love and gentle encouragement that ‘you can do this’. If you don’t then there is always next time, and he is happy with that. However, there is no exhilaration like that of having faced your fear and overcome it. You will grow through such experiences.

The material used is for men. It is not necessarily what you might encounter in Church on Sunday morning! Please be gracious and tolerant of such situations, and focus on what God is doing in you through the encounter, not the opportunity to be religious or critical.

If certain conditions or requirements are set by the session leaders or content to enable each person to get full advantage out of the experience, please respect those conditions.

As guests of The-Church that meets @ Chorley, we should remember that we are in a country hamlet with a quiet and gentle pace. If we go walking, seeking a quiet place to pray and ‘time out’ for a while, respect other peoples property and any ‘private’ signs or notices.

Finally consideration; Confidences and personal information may be shared in some of the sessions. Please; what is shared in this context, stays in this context.

One Last Thing:- Understand it’s a Battle we are encouraging you to recognise. You’re already in it. You’re going to experience a lot of different emotions … and hear a lot of thoughts as you go through this. Things like: I don’t have time to get to this right now or This may be for other guys, but not for me or I’m just a poser. Most of that is from the Enemy. Meaning, satan.

He’s terrified of what is going to happen if you do this for real. He’ll mess with your equipment. (The DVD won’t play all of a sudden.) He’ll mess with your schedule. (The night you set aside will get yanked from you.) He’ll mess with your group. (Guys will cancel, bail, whatever.) …

Pray about it!!!! Don’t just let it happen. Pray. Bind it, in the Name of Jesus Christ. The Enemy fears what will happen if you take this journey.

Fight all of that stuff and press on. It is for times like this that God has set in you the

fierce heart of a warrior.

You will never regret it.
